Ways to be part of this

Every one of these is open to members and neighbors alike. You don't have to join anything first.

πŸ₯«

Willow Street Food Pantry

Tuesdays 4–7 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.–noon. Shelf-stable groceries, fresh produce from local growers, bread, diapers, and hygiene items. We serve roughly 190 households a month with no income verification and no forms to fill out.

βš“

Anchor Youth Group

Grades 6–12, Wednesdays 6:30–8:30 p.m. Free dinner, gym games, a short teaching, and small groups by grade. Two retreats a year and a summer service week in the Blue Ridge. Friends are always welcome.

🎨

Children's Church & Nursery

During the 11:00 service. Nursery for infants through age three, children's church for ages four through fifth grade. All volunteers are background-checked and there are always two adults in every room.

Wednesday Bible Study

10:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall and 7:00 p.m. on Zoom. We work through one book at a time, slowly, with plenty of room for questions and disagreement.

🍲

Meal Train & Care Team

New baby, surgery, loss in the family β€” tell us and food shows up. We also coordinate rides to medical appointments and light yard help for neighbors who can't manage it.

🌱

Community Garden

Twelve raised beds behind the fellowship hall, planted and tended by the youth group. Everything grown goes straight to the pantry shelves. Workdays the second Saturday of each month.

Need help from the pantry?

Just come. The pantry entrance is the blue door on the east side of the building, off the gravel lot. Bring bags if you have them; we have boxes if you don't. There is no application, no income check, and no requirement to attend anything. If Tuesday and Saturday hours don't work with your schedule, call the church office at (770) 555-0148 and Marlene will arrange a pickup time that does. If you're homebound in the 30060 or 30064 zip codes, we deliver.

Want to volunteer or donate?

The pantry always needs canned protein, rice, cooking oil, and diapers in sizes 4 through 6. Volunteers can give two hours a month and make a real difference.
